ABOUT ME

My name is Nicholas Curley, and I am an adventurer of sorts. Originally from rural South Carolina, I now live in Wyoming with my gorgeous, incredible wife, Alexis, and together we enjoy exploring the beautiful and rugged wilderness that the west has to offer.  After graduating from Wyoming Catholic College in the summer of 2017, it is now my privilege to work for the college as the admissions counselor.

My time here in Wyoming has instilled in me a deep love for beauty, which can be found in the natural world, the intellectual life, and especially the spiritual world—particularly in the Catholic Faith. I truly believe that a love and desire for beautiful things is the first step to living an adventurous life.

The title of my blog “The search for ElDorado” refers to the yearning for truth and beauty that lies within the heart of every man.  Hundreds of explorers and pioneers died in the quest for ElDorado—the lost city of gold, and I think times have not changed. Each of us has an ElDorado that we are constantly searching for. The purpose of this blog is to record bits and pieces of the true, good, and beautiful that I have found throughout my own journey.

Every precious nugget of beauty or truth that we encounter gives us another hint of who God is, and how blessed we are to be His sons and daughters. Viva Cristo Rey!
